Parent Cabinet meets several times a year (open to everyone interested in attending) to review, finalize, and approve the PC budget for the following school year.

In our budgeting process, we look at the funds raised in the school year that just ended and then decide (with discussion and input from Administration and Faculty) how we will prioritize and use those funds for the highest benefit of the school.

With the exception of a 10% reserve to fund emergency needs, every hard-earned dollar is put to use in the classrooms, on campus, for teacher training, to assist sending students on exceptional experiences (field trips), or to build parent community in support of the education at Journey.

substantial amount of these funds are given directly to Journey in the form of “unencumbered funds” to allow the Administration flexibility in funding school-wide priorities that may arise or change during the school year.
